Silvana Ferreira is a San Francisco Bay Area-based visual artist and amateur naturalist. Born and raised in Africa, she is most at home in wild places and is passionate about conservation and encouraging a deeper connection to the natural world.

"Photography is a true love - an art form that is a natural complement to my curiosity and admiration for our beautiful planet. It’s also an important personal tool for practicing mindfulness.

I am drawn to making botanical “portraits” in particular, as I admire the beauty and grace of plant forms. I envision my photographs enhancing the serenity of interior spaces, helping to bring the healing power of nature indoors."

Silvana holds a degree in Film and Television and also enjoys drawing/painting, design, gardening, teaching, and learning more about fauna and flora.

Her work was featured on the internationally acclaimed blog, Design*Sponge and published in Romantic Homes magazine. Several prints are currently exhibited at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco.

Select prints are available for purchase at Society6.
